Seek God daily during alone time with Him. Learn to listen to His voice and obey. You’ll go through the entire Bible during Encounter and learn how to study His word.
Understand your identity in Christ through prayer, discipleship and community. Knowing your True Self is key in a world that tells us that we are what we do.
Experience various forms of outreach to discover your calling, in full-time ministry or not. At FCA we share the Gospel through sport, so whether its playing pick-up soccer to engage people of peace or leading a Bible study after practice, you’ll get hands-on ministry experience.
An average day starts with morning workouts, and an hour of quiet time. Afternoons are filled with fellowship, discipleship, and guest teachers. Each evening you’ll being doing outreach or practicing rest.
You will serve in various capacities in Atlanta through the lens of “head, heart, and hands.” You will learn to serve others like Jesus through words and actions.
We will be partnering will partnering with an FCA camp where you will serve a huddle leader leading and empowering a group of middle school or high school students.

Encounter is designed to develop the spiritual lives and leadership skills of student athletes interested in growing in these areas or coming on staff with FCA.
Since fundraising is a vital ministry function in FCA, interns will be expected to raise a portion of their internship cost, $2,800. This funding goes towards the Encounter Program providing a $650 stipend, resources and living expenses – housing, food, etc.
